We’re 6 days from leaving home. The kids are all at church camp. Scott and I are trying to work our to do lists AND enjoy the first days we’ve had alone in a VERY long time.

In the last month we’ve seen various friends and family one last time, the kids have experimented A LOT with their cameras and we’ve shopped for and ordered the clothes and gear we need to live for most of a year out of a carry-on suitcase and backpack per person.

We’ve known for two years that THIS is the school year we can do this. Knowing that has streamlined and focused our lives in a way that’s been liberating and beautiful.
